Event lead

Every QP event needs someone to take the lead. Not a professional organiser — just someone who cares about that specific event and is willing to make it happen. We have templates to guide you, and you won’t be doing it alone.

We’re looking for multiple event leads, one for each of our regular events:

• Movie night
• Board game night
• Bar night
• Speed friending
• Would you like to run a new event? You’re welcome!

What you’ll actually do

• Use our template to organise it — or go with your own gut
• Figure out who’s joining you as helping hands
• Book the space
• Arrive early, run the event, clean up and close the space
• Write a short report on how it went

What we’re looking for

• You genuinely enjoy the type of event you’re leading
• You can organise a get-together and bring people along with you
• You’re reliable — if you say you’ll do it, you do it
• You’re comfortable taking the lead, even in a small setting

Role

Project Manager

QP runs on many moving parts — events, long-term projects, funding, and a team of volunteers each owning their own piece. The project manager is the person who keeps the big picture in view.

This is not about doing everything. It’s about making sure everything gets done.

What you’ll actually do

• Keep track of all ongoing events and initiatives across QP
• Make sure every month has events running and nothing falls through the cracks
• Gently but consistently follow up with volunteers on their progress
• Coordinate the monthly general meeting — agenda, flow, and follow-ups
• Spot when something is stuck and help unblock it

What we’re looking for

• You’re naturally good at seeing the whole picture while others focus on their part
• You have the patience to remind, follow up, and ask again without losing your cool
• You’re organised but flexible — QP is a community, not a corporation
• You’re a good communicator and people feel supported by you
• You can hold the group accountable with kindness

Role

Funding Lead

Funding is what keeps QP’s projects and initiatives alive. We need someone to take ownership of the process and make sure nothing gets missed.

What you’ll actually do

• Research and identify funding opportunities relevant to QP
• Discuss them with the funding team and decide together which ones to pursue
• Lead or coordinate the application process
• Make sure every step is followed through — deadlines, documents, reporting

What we’re looking for

• You’re interested in shaping what QP can become
• You’re detail-oriented and follow through on processes
• You’re comfortable working as part of a small team and taking the lead within it
• Experience with funding or grant applications is a plus, but not required

Role

General volunteer

Not ready to lead yet, or just want to show up and help? That’s exactly what we need too. General volunteers are the backbone of every QP event — without them, nothing runs smoothly.

What you’ll actually do

• Help set up the space before the event
• Support the event lead during the night
• Help clean up and close the space at the end
